Hello! My name is Avery Cunningham. Growing up my family moved around before settling in Vermont, where I grew up. Growing up, I developed an interest in photography and videography, taking pictures during family vacations and creating my own videos.
I joined the Vermont National Guard as a Public Affairs Specialist, a job which allowed me to further pursue my interest and get formal training from the Department of Defense, which I have continued to expand on with more training and classes. I worked full time for the Guard and then transitioned to active-duty, building my experience and knowledge in the field of photography, videography, and graphic design. While with the Army I’ve been stationed in Europe, Alaska, and now in Wisconsin. Typically, I worked as a video and photojournalist, writing stories and creating media products to tell the Army story. I’ve spent over ten years telling their story through various medias including videos, action photos, portraits, ceremonies, and almost every form of photography in some way. For this reason, I have a wide range of experience that I am willing to apply to various sessions, no matter the type.
I started Fire Rosa Photography to further pursue my love of photography and videography and grow myself as an artist while also serving the community as a photographer. My wife, who is my rose, inspired the name, and I spelled it Rosa because Spanish is her first language.
I pride myself on not just doing my best, but also sticking to my values as I work. That pride I have for good work ethic and good life ethics is always at the forefront of every job I accomplish. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask and bring them up to me!
